Devil’s Boi!

I still remember the first day
My mom told me about God.
How he created this world
You me and all.

She taught me to pray to a hypocrite
Believe in a book that made no sense at all.
I forced myself to believe in God
Coz’ I know my mom would not lie at all.

Day by day I realized that his friends
Didn’t like me much at all
And that house where he lived
Didn’t really accept me at all.

I still remember my mom told me that God is all
He will accept anyone, whoever and whatever you are.
She told me he will forgive
But I have done no mistake at all.

I now ask myself who I am?
Who the hell created me?
It cant be God who did that
Coz’ he just don’t seem to like me at all.

Why would he reject what he created?
Was I just a mistake or what?
Or was it just a trial that failed?
So may be I am the devil’s boi…

I ask whoever who created this world
Jesus, Alla and all,
Do you think it’s some joke
Or a game on your part?

Come out Lord Jesus, come out
Anyone at all.
Answer all my questions,
As your friends can’t do it at all.

You made me so confused
Made my whole life feel so ‘wrong’
And now there is not much of a doubt
That I really hate you all

How can you call yourself God?
When you have made my mother cry
Made her believe she gave birth to the devil
And do you forget you created her at all.

Can anyone answer me?
The ones who believe in God
The ones who say he created this world
Do you think I am the devil’s boi?

  1. He should join the Atheist Blogroll. I’m sure he’ll find comfort there.

    Thank you for reading.

I completely agree with the above. Spiritual belief brings relief in personal crisis and makes you a better person overall. However that’s how it should be kept. Personal. The problem arises when belief materialises into heavy institutions with rituals. it becomes like race. A culture. You become part of a massive organisation which has influence over world affairs. Religion starts and spirituality ends. The crusades begin. Millions of people go thru untold suffering, while a few make a fast buck selling weapons etc.

Almost all the wars in which millions have suffered, in which millions are still suffering and in which millions will also suffer till the end of time are due to difference in race or religion.

Religion or race will mean nothing, zero, zilch to a starving sudanese child or other refugee dying a slow, horrific & torturous death. UN statisics on the horrific child death rate due to the lack of basic antibiotics & hygiene, the malaria death toll and starvation will make interesting reading. The amount of wealth that is poured into weapon systems that will add to the death toll makes you reel. It’s an absolute whopper!

The differences in race cannot be erased due to obviously apparent reasons like colour, features, size etc.

But Religious institutions can and should make it their paramount duty to have some kind of amalgamation so that communal tension could be easily managed. Instead they have joined the fight adding fuel to the fire. Killing each other in the name of Gods or creators. The question whether there is a creator or not or what kind of creator he is,is debatable. But murdering & crusading to prove the existense of an all merciful and omnipotent creator or other gods is downright lunatic.

It’s at this point that Darwins theories start looking irresistible. Survival of the fittest. Because the strong will always rule and control the weak. Make no mistake. They will make the rules. They will always try to impose their beliefs and culture upon you. The meaning of the words right & wrong will be relative. For example the Americans and the Israelis will bomb the daylights out of their enemies. Civilians, children, all and sundry. But tell us “you must show restraint, this won’t do, talk peace”.

At the end of the day it’s all about who’s stronger & richer. Who has the wealth, the oil, the diamonds etc. None other.

It’s neither right nor wrong. It’s just nature.

  4. Another comment for Charith. I think you maybe a bit too harsh on god. I am sure there is some kind of force. Problem is people are trying to describe and convince us about something that they haven’t seen nor experienced. It’s impossible.

but another aspect. your writing is brilliant though a bit sarcastic. You can easily get into an ad agency as a copywriter. Unless you are above that.

  5. give ppl some time to accept what they cant..it all falls into place someday…u dont have to believe in God to find urself…u first need to accept urself to expect others to accept u…take it one day at a time..
