BITCHOLOGY

Filed under: Bits & Bots

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.

When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch means I won’t compromise what’s in my heart.

It means I live my life MY way.

It means I won’t allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone’s maid, or when I act a little selfish.

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won’t become anyone else’s idea of what they think I “should” be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined.

I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me.

You won’t succeed.

And if that makes me a bitch , so be it.

I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

B = Babe
I = In
T = Total
C = Control of
H = Herself

B = Beautiful
I = Intelligent
T = Talented
C = Charming
H = Hell of a Woman

B = Beautiful
I = Individual
T = That
C = Can
H = Handle anything

* So Girls, a word to the wise…..the next time you’re called a BITCH, try not to take offence, instead, take it as a compliment! Be proud of your new found title! If you’ve got it, flaunt it baby!!! : )

  3. Thanks Indi for your constant enthusiasm, it just gives me a new lease to life! As for you ’sittingnut’, well you’re quite right, I’m not a Bitch (atleast most of the time!), neither am I trying to justify myself or Bitches around the world. I just read this and realised how true it was. No matter what you try to do, you’re a Bitch so, it’s basically a no win situation. So, all I’m saying is why get upset and bother about something that is just not worth getting worked up about!!!!

  4. Actually your last comment is quite interesting.. (that and the knee jerk reaction from a certain person - that surprised me).

    Wonder what the male equivalent of Bitch is (i.e. a term woman randomly toss out at men whom they are idly pissed off at without any real cause)

    I remember this really beautiful girl I knew once who once suddenly said “I bitch”. Caused me to stare at her with a frozen expression.

    Took another split second for me to gather she meant it as a description, sort of as a ‘tag’ describing self perception of behavior.

    I was afraid to answer her as she was over 6 feet tall and white (not sure what the caucasian bit has to do with anything..but combined with her height I felt intimidated..) Anyway she was just thinking aloud, but somehow I felt it was nice of her to share that particular insight with me.

    I wasn’t sure what the correct response was but I’m sure I muttered something polite..

    Oh. and I have a new blog. Visit me please. I could do with the company.
